Tomato soup

Ingredients:

1. Tomatoes (medium size) - 8
2. Water - 3-1/2cups
3. Butter - 1/2tbsp
4. Black pepper powder - 1/4tsp
5. Red chilli powder - 1/4tsp
6. Bay leaf and cumin powder - 1/2tsp
7. Ginger – garlic paste - 1/4tsp
8. Coriander leaves – for garnishing
9. Salt to taste


Method:

· Put the tomatoes in a saucepan with water.
· Bring to a boil, reduce heat and cook until tomatoes become tender.
· Make tomato puree in mixer.
· Add water and strain it to remove the seeds and tomato skin .
· Heat butter in a pan.
· Add black pepper powder, red chilli powder, bay leaf and cumin powder, ginger-garlic paste and salt.
· Add tomato puree, bring to boil and cook for 5 minutes on medium heat.
· Garnish with coriander leaves and serve hot.
